Product Description
The 2000 kg hydrogen energy demonstration station in Changsha is a hydrogen energy demonstration project made up of "green photovoltaic power, integrated hydrogen producing and refueling station, and hydrogen-fueled vehicle application". This station covers an area of about 6300 square meters with a total investment of about RMB 37 million. In this project, the hydrogen energy is produced from the green power of park rooftop photovoltaic units and industrial grid power during valley hours, in combination with the construction of an integrated hydrogen producing and refueling station with a refueling capacity of 2,000 kg/d, which can meet the refueling needs of more than 100 hydrogen vehicles per day. This station is the largest green power hydrogen producing and refueling demonstration project in China, making the best of the synergy between "hydrogen station and hydrogen-fueled vehicles" in jointly building a demonstration application case of hydrogen energy in Hunan.

Scope of Application
Refueling for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles: Used to charge hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in order to support the promotion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Hydrogen energy storage: Used for the storage and distribution of hydrogen. By converting electrical energy into hydrogen for storage, which can be applied to power generation or other applications.
Industrial applications of hydrogen: Providing high-purity hydrogen to industrial users to meet the needs of industrial applications of hydrogen.
Breakthrough Progress of Integrated Hydrogen Production and Refueling Station Equipment
In March, the company entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangtai Hydrogen Technology to jointly build the first 2000Kg hydrogen refueling station in Qingpu District, Shanghai, achieving the successful commercialization of package solutions for the hydrogen refueling station of SANY. The cooperation agreement has provided the construction of three advanced hydrogen refueling stations in East China and South China to support the demand for hydrogen refueling of 300 logistics vehicles of Guangtai Hydrogen Technology and promote cold chain logistics business in the Yangtze River Delta region. In November, SANY Hydrogen Energy delivered the equipment of the Hydrogen Production and Refueling Project of Inner Mongolia Yihao New Energy, which is located in Ordos City, with a total investment of RMB 30 million yuan. The project is expected to be completed in June 2024 and put into trial run in July, which aims to promote the development of the local hydrogen energy industry and support SANY Hydrogen Energy's strategic layout in the field of green energy.

SANY Hydrogen Energy 2000 kg Integrated Hydrogen Producing and Refueling Station Powered by Green Electricity
SANY integrated hydrogen producing and refueling station powered by green electricity was registered for planning in June 2023, of which the construction started from September and was completed now. With a total investment of about RMB 37 million yuan, this entire station is designed on the basis of an intensive, technological and replicable concept, covering an area of 6,300 m2. Powered by the electricity from 20 MW photovoltaics built in the heavy truck plant, this project has a hydrogen production capacity of 2,000 Nm3/h, and a standard hydrogen refueling capacity of 2000 kg/d. When running at full capacity for 24 hours, the maximum hydrogen production and refueling capacity of the entire station can be upgraded to more than 4 tons, which can meet the refueling needs of over 100 hydrogen-fueled vehicles for the commercial purpose. The station is the largest project of the integrated hydrogen producing and refueling station powered by green electricity in China.

By making the best of advantages of SANY Group in the comprehensive industrial chain involving "green photovoltaic electricity, hydrogen producing and refueling stations and hydrogen-fueled vehicles", we aim to establish a demonstration application for hydrogen-fueled transportation in Hunan.The entire station consists of three functional areas: hydrogen producing area, compression and hydrogen storage area, and hydrogen refueling area.
Hydrogen producing area: Due to the intensive design, the footprint of hydrogen producing plant is greatly reduced. The hangar door design facilitates the repair and maintenance, improves explosion-proof safety, and allows the plant to be used for the purpose of visiting and exhibition.
Of all the equipment, 2000 Nm3/h alkaline electrolyzer and the separation and purification system independently developed by SANY Hydrogen Energy is the utilized as the core equipment of hydrogen production. For the entire hydrogen production system, the standard process package analysis and design method is adopted to improve the efficiency of the designed operation of the equipment. The hydrogen production capacity of this electrolyzer is 2000 Nm3/h, which is the largest single electrolyzer that has been put into operation.
Compression and hydrogen storage area: With the total hydrogen storage capacity of more than 1000 kg, the area is made up of two filling compressors and one self-developed 45 MPa compressor. Moreover, space is saved for the additional compression and hydrogen storage equipment that is to fulfil the refueling capacity of 70 MPa and the hydrogen storage capacity of more than 2 tons at the second phase of the project. The compressor uses an unexposed foundation with no exposed side ducts, which makes the equipment area look organized, together with a piping trench structure equipped with hydrogen detector for the piping trench that makes the entire station organized and enables the effective monitoring of any leakage threatening safety.
Hydrogen refueling area: The drive-through carport design and vehicle guidance system are adopted to improve the refueling service capacity for vehicles. The entire station is equipped with six refueling nozzles. Currently, two dual-system hydrogen dispensers are set up, which can meet the needs of four vehicles for rapid refueling at the same time, and of more than 100 hydrogen-fueled vehicles for the commercial purpose per day.
Considering the shortage of high-purity hydrogen sources in Hunan, we have constructed the integrated station that saves the high cost of high hydrogen transportation of the traditional hydrogen refueling station which requires external hydrogen supply. At this station, hydrogen can be produced on-site flexible based on the need. Besides, the costs of construction and hydrogen production can be effectively controlled through self-made hydrogen production and compression equipment and hydrogen production from photovoltaic power in the park. It has been calculated that the comprehensive operating cost of the entire station under 65% operating load (1300kg/day) is less than 30 yuan/kg, that is, meaning that the station can supply hydrogen at the same price as that of petroleum even without considerations for the national subsidies for hydrogen, which effectively facilitates the demonstration and application of hydrogen-fueled transportation operation.
