Electrolyzer start-up safety precautions

(1) All electromechanical equipment must be checked before powering on. It should be safe and reliable. The equipment used should be in good condition. Raw materials must be available and fully preheated with permission.
(2) The charging materials alkali and cryolite must be mixed evenly to avoid causing electrolyte to splash out and hurt people during startup.
(3) When installing the furnace, the guide rod and the large busbar must be ground smooth to prevent the guide rod from scratching the large busbar and causing loose contact with the busbar, causing bias current to the anode.
(4) Before the shunt is disassembled, production personnel cannot touch the shunt with bare hands. When disassembling the shunt, the operator must wear labor protection supplies to avoid burns.
(5) When adding cryolite and alkali, work smoothly to prevent burns caused by stepping into the tank. It must be preheated before adding alkali to avoid an explosion, which may cause the electrolyte to break down and hurt people.
(6) When fishing for carbon slag, do not let the carbon slag scoop touch the anode to avoid injury from flowers.
(7) When filling electrolyte, the operation should be balanced. Unrelated personnel must stay away from the chute to avoid scalding accidents caused by electrolyte splashing. The chute must be fully preheated before use.
(8) When pouring aluminum: the voltage must be raised in time to prevent the voltage from being raised too slowly, causing the electrolyte to flow out of the tank and break the anode soft strip busbar.
(9) When lifting the voltage, a dedicated person must be responsible. When pushing the material, be sure to stand firm to prevent accidents.
(10) When on-site personnel find that there is an unsafe condition in the equipment or operating position, they must immediately report it to the on-site commanding personnel. Only after the danger has been eliminated can the operation continue.
(11) During the start-up process of burning, if you find electrolyte leakage, don't be nervous. Use a water pipe to pour the electrolyte into the area until it is blocked. Then withdraw the water pipe. When using water, do not let water enter the tank. To avoid an explosion.
(12) When starting up, if electrolyte is found to overflow, don't be nervous. Use a baffle to block it first to prevent the overflowing electrolyte from destroying the anode bus bar, and then use cryolite to build a wall.
(13) If bias current or broken guide rods are found during the start-up process, the crane should be used in time to lift out the faulty anode. When replacing the lifted anode, unrelated personnel should stay away from the scene to avoid burns. When installing a new anode, the new anode should be fully preheated. To avoid other accidents.
