Eagle Spreads Its Wings, Strikes The Sky | Sany Hydrogen Energy Daan Project Delivery

Recently, 8 sets of 1000Nm³/h electrolysis tanks of Sany Hydrogen Energy were successfully shipped, marking the successful delivery of all the equipment of Sany Hydrogen Energy's world's largest integrated demonstration project of green hydrogen synthesis and ammonia production from wind power. Adhering to the concept of "green hydrogen consuming green electricity, green ammonia consuming green hydrogen, and integration of source, network, load and storage", the Daan project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 650,000 tonnes per year, with significant energy, economic and environmental benefits, and play an important role in promoting the global energy transition and technological innovation.

Throughout the Daan project delivery process, the Sany Hydrogen team went all out with careful planning and efficient execution to maximise the twelve-hour workflow.

Facing the sunrise, Sany Hydrogen Energy team discusses customer needs and after-sales problem solutions in the morning meeting, putting the customer first concept throughout.

Sany Hydrogen engineers brainstorm the best prime time, they are committed to designing the hydrogen production system even better and tamping down every detail.

No matter how cold or hot it is, the industry "veteran" Hu, who is responsible for the quality, is always running around the workshop and the supplier's site, strictly controlling the thickness of the plating layer, processing dimensions, line tolerance, assembly verticality and other quality standards.

After a short break, the simulation engineers were on fire. The perfect electrolyser simulation system is the killer application of Sany Hydrogen Energy to "decode" the electrolyser. At present, the simulation technology covers different working conditions in the whole process of electrolyser design, production, assembly, installation, transfer and process:

-Structural simulation: Optimise the rigidity of the whole machine and components to achieve an effective balance between weight reduction and performance.
-Flow field simulation: optimise the uniformity of the flow field temperature field, reduce the temperature difference between the chambers, increase the temperature of the reaction zone, and reduce energy consumption.
-Electrochemical simulation: complete electrochemical simulation model, optimise parameters such as papillae, pole pitch, temperature and flow rate, and improve energy consumption and efficiency of electrolysis tank.
-Multi-physical field simulation: achieve multi-field coupled simulation of flow field, temperature, electrochemistry and structure for global design verification and optimisation.

As the sun set, the delivery team looked at the full pre-docking results with a satisfied smile on their faces. The delivery team is undoubtedly the vanguard of this battle. They scouted the site conditions in detail, drew up the approach route, refined the approach programme and docked the approach time to ensure that every detail was put into practice.

Night falls, but the R&D staff's energy to study is getting higher and higher. Bold assumptions and precise proof is a process engraved in the bones of every R&D staff. Through careful construction, the electrolyser delivered this time has the following features:

-Low power consumption: new flow field design, simulation + testing to ensure the uniformity of the flow field in the small chamber, and the new generation of electrodes with industry-leading over-potential and tolerance.
-Wide power fluctuation range: Adaptable power fluctuation range of 30~110%, better adapted to wind hydrogen production.
High stability: double internal and external sealing guarantee, upgraded fastening system to reduce the leakage of electrolyser under alternating working conditions, adopting large-diameter bipolar plate technology to effectively reduce the length of electrolyser, and ensuring that the plating thickness of bipolar plate is ≥50μm at the lowest point.

Although it was early in the morning, "Old Liu" in the test site still stood firm at his post to carry out the simulation test on the wind-scenery fluctuation of the whole four-in-one machine. Sany Hydrogen Energy has a 24MW capacity of this test site, carrying a single tank/four-in-one frequent start and stop, long cycle stability, low load operation, wind and light fluctuation test.

All the persistence and efforts are only for the perfect delivery of Daan project. Sany Hydrogen Beijing Laboratory has completed the selection of more than 60 types of electrodes and more than 10 types of diaphragms, conducted a variety of core performance tests and extreme environment simulation tests, electrodes and diaphragms output more than 600 sets of experimental data, electrode laboratory long-cycle testing of more than 4,500h, the preferred electrodes and diaphragms have been verified by the small-scale experimental tanks, experimental laboratory tanks and multiple conditions, to ensure that electrodes and diaphragms are advanced and stable. This ensures that the electrodes and diaphragms are advanced and stable.

The successful shipment of equipment for the Daan project is not the end, but a new starting point. Sany Hydrogen Energy is fully prepared to ensure the stable and safe operation of the Daan project. Sany Hydrogen Energy always insists on providing customers with safe, stable, efficient and intelligent integrated comprehensive energy solutions, and contributes Sany power and Sany solutions to the high-quality development of the industry.
